Lean-To Garden Shed Plans

A lean-to garden shed is the answer for anyone needing storage space for their garden equipment, but doesn’t have a huge yard. It’s also a good idea if you have a fence, wall, or other structure that makes it convenient to build a lean-to. For example, the shed could be placed against a barn, another storage shed, or a garage. These sheds can also be freestanding as well. When planning your shed, you must identify the exact purpose for it. This includes knowing everything that you plan on storing. Will it just be garden equipment and tools, or will it be for other items too?

The roof can either be completely flat, or be titled at an angle. It’s up to you whether or not you want to include windows, though allowing at least some sunlight to enter is probably a good idea. You can choose between a single or double door. This depends on the dimensions and what you plan to store in it. If it’s only for smaller tools and equipment, then a single door will work fine. But if you plan on storing a lawn mower or larger equipment, then double doors are probably your best bet. If you place it on cement for example, then a floor won’t even be necessary.

In essence, lean-to garden shed plans can be as complex or simple as you want it to be. There are plenty of styles and designs to choose from. But before you begin building or planning for that matter, always check the zoning areas and laws in your area regarding remodeling and construction on your property.
